Although it was founded in the US by internet veterans Ron and Carolyn Yokubaitis, Golden Frog GmbH, the company behind VyprVPN, is now a Swiss corporation based in Meggen, Switzerland (Canton Lucerne). One reason for that is Switzerland’s favorable privacy laws that respect the rights of Internet users, both natural persons and legal entities. But Golden Frog, Inc. is a Delaware corporation with US offices in Austin, Texas.

If a copyright holder only provides a VPN provider with an IP address as identifying information, then it is impossible for a VPN provider that does not log data to associate a DMCA notice with any of their users. Note: It is illegal to download copyrighted content that you have no rights to.
Servers
VyprVPN currently has 73 server locations operating in 64 countries. Recently they invested in upgrading their servers in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, which has resulted in faster speeds and improved performance for VyprVPN customers in those regions. Although other VPN services may have more servers, VyprVPN owns and controls all of its servers. It has no third-party servers like most other VPNs do.

No Third-Party Servers

Most ISP and 3rd-Party DNS servers log and can keep a perfect record of when and where you go online. For example, Google DNS logs IP address, websites visited, geolocation data, and much more. VyprDNS never retains hostnames, including hostnames found in URLs. A zero-knowledge DNS makes that possible.
NAT Firewall
A NAT Firewall is an additional layer of security for your VyprVPN connection. It blocks unrequested inbound traffic when you’re connected to VyprVPN. No additional configuration or software is required. Because it runs on our servers, NAT Firewall protects any device connected to VyprVPN.
