					<description><![CDATA[Thanks for this post! My partner is moving over here from England soon, and here is some good information. I&#039;ve been here for more than twenty years,(and was married to a German for a good bit of that time)  but I still can&#039;t blow off the perceived rudeness and the elbow thing, no matter how long I&#039;ve been dealing with it. My friend K tells me we Yanks have to &quot;channel our inner f*** off&quot; sometimes, like the Germans do. They aren&#039;t bothered by the directness and don&#039;t take offense, so why should we? It always makes for an interesting discussion.]]></description>
