Jessica L. Scott-Reid
Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Jessica L. Scott-Reid is a freelance food, culture, and lifestyle writer, a graduate student, hockey-wife, and doggy-mom. Jessica has been living in German-speaking Europe since 2007, first along the Rhine river just outside of Düsseldorf, Germany, then near the banks of Lake Zurich, in Rapperswil, Switzerland, and now back to Germany in a suburb just outside of Hamburg. Jessica is currently in her final year of masters study, in the field of Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies. Blogging for German-way.com since 2010, Jessica provides readers with a unique angle that not only offers a North American 20-something’s perspective, but one that also looks deeper at the quirks found around, between, and within the relationships and lifestyles of both expats and locals, living in German-speaking Europe. She is also a lifestyle and personal development columnist for Notable.ca, and a food and culture writer for Food Loves Beer Magazine. Jessica, her husband, and their three dogs travel back to their home in Montreal, Quebec each summer for the hockey off-season.
